Terms of service

Bobbin is operated by Thoughtgears Ltd, a company registered in the United Kingdom. These terms apply when you use it. Last updated 11 August 2026.

What Bobbin does

When an alert fires in a Google Cloud project you have connected, Bobbin reads the relevant logs, metrics, recent changes and — if you connect it — your repository metadata, and posts what it found to Slack with a hypothesis about the cause.

Bobbin saves you investigation time; it does not resolve incidents. Its hypothesis may be wrong. Everything it produces is a starting point for a human, and the evidence it shows is the part you should rely on. You remain responsible for diagnosing and fixing your own systems.

What Bobbin will never do

Your responsibilities

Availability

Bobbin is provided without an availability commitment during the design-partner period. If it is unavailable when an alert fires, that investigation does not happen — your own alerting is unaffected, because Bobbin is a notification channel and never sits in the path of your monitoring.

Fees

Design partners use Bobbin free of charge. If that changes we will tell you before any charge is made, and you may decline and stop using it.

Liability

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that, and because Bobbin is advisory rather than operational, Thoughtgears Ltd is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, or loss arising from action taken on a suggestion Bobbin made. Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim.

Ending it

You can stop at any time: remove the four role grants and delete the notification channel in your project, and remove the app from Slack. Nothing of ours remains in your infrastructure. We may end an account with reasonable notice, or immediately if it is used unlawfully.

Changes

We will update these terms as Bobbin changes. Material changes will be notified to the email on your account before they take effect.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
